5 THINGS to pack on your next Disney Trip!

What are the things you HAVE to pack when you are getting ready for a Disney Parks trip, or any family outing? What do you pack for Disney?

This is my personal TOP 5 MUST PACK for a trip!

  1. Sunscreen and Lip Balm

    1. The sun is brutal in Florida and California, and many people forget this essential when they travel from somewhere not as bright!  Disney gift shops charge a high premium for this commodity, so forgetting will be costly! A stick like this is easy to apply and doesn’t take up a lot of space in your bag.
  2. Insulated Water Bottles

    1. Cold water is essential for me — I hate using drinking fountains!  Did you know that any counter-service restaurant at Disney Parks will give free cups of ice water on request?  We always ask for several at a meal and then fill up our 3-4 insulated water bottles to last until the next meal time.
    2. Insulated is important because the bottles won’t sweat and soak your other items.  Here is the kind that I use:  This and This
  3. Snacks

    1. You may be a Disney Foodie, like me, but snacks can get expensive and walking all day sure does drum up an appetite.  It is nice to have some trail mix (I like to make my own!) or pretzels or fruit snacks on hand for a little boost between meals or big snacks.  They pass the time in line too!
  4. Plastic Baggies

    1. I always carry several plastic baggies with me to the Parks for a few reasons: 1) leftovers at meals (yes I’m that mom!). Portion sizes are massive at Disney Parks, but we are hungry again shortly after.  So stuff those extra fries and nuggets into a baggie! 2) if you plan to ride any water attractions, you can protect your phone, keys, or socks in a baggie while you ride! 3) They also can help keep your bag organized into categories, like snacks, sunscreens, tickets, etc.
  5. Hand Sanitizer

    1. I am not a germaphobe by any means, but any public place with THAT amount of people is swimming in germs.  Protect yourself and your family with hand sanitizer in a readily accessible holder like this one: Here

On Facebook I did a little Live Video to show these 5 items as well as different kind of bags you can use. You can see the video below here or visit my Facebook Page (Crafted from the Kingdom)

These are the suggestions that people gave in the comments about what they always pack for Disney or a family outing:

  • Band-Aids
  • Advil/Tylenol
  • Baby Wipes
  • Cotton or Microfiber Washcloths

When my family visits theme parks, we typically have used totes bags to carry our things.  This is a great system because tote bags are easy to access at both security and throughout the day.  However, this only works for us because we have a massive stroller. If you have a smaller stroller or no stroller at all while at the parks, tote bags would be a PAIN to “tote” around.

I recently came upon this new backpack by Peak Supply Co. The inspiration for the bags was better access for security agents at theme parks, while maintaining a sleek and useful design.  So far I love this bag! A limited amount of pockets makes it easy to see and get to everything, and the fact that it is a backpack makes it easy to carry around.  Check out all their bags on Amazon here and see all the awesome Disney inspired color schemes they came up with! They are also currently on sale 🙂

The bag only has 3 compartments, so opening it at security (or thoughout the day) is super easy.  The large main pocket is thermal insulated, so you can keep snacks cool inside there (or your camera or other electronics from burning up in the Florida sun). I also love the two water bottle pouches on the side, and the sunglasses pouch on the strap.  It is a thoughtfully made bag for Disney trips and family outings!

I hate when I forget a water bottle, and I can’t stand seeing my kids licking their hands after touching everything!!

This is great! I also write about Disney on my lifestyle blog, and ziploc bags are my #1 recommendation for Disney (and all travel!). They are so convenient for organizing and keeping everything dry when the rain hits. I look forward to following your blog!

These are great tips! I’d also recommend the cooling towels when going during the hotter months, and a clip on stroller fan if you have kiddos! They saved us in the parks in June!

Those are great suggestions! I haven’t used the cooling towels but I’ve heard they are great. And I have a clip fan and love it!
