Here is how to make Pumpkin Juice like from the Harry Potter Books!

YES I KNOW Harry Potter does not equal Disney.  I know that.  HOWEVER, I do acknowledge that many people who love Disney also love HP…Like me.  So I decided to do a few posts about Harry Potter.  There will also come a time in the future I will do other such deviations, and I hope you enjoy them!

I’ve got to admit it: pumpkin flavor is not my favorite thing in the world. Which is weird, because pumpkin pie IS one of my favorite things. But all other pumpkin food items typically gross me right out.

When I visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando (twice), I slurped down the Butterbeer, and avoided the bottles of pumpkin juice. Why would anyone want to drink juice of a pumpkin?? Is it like V8? Is it thick and chunky?? Too many questions that I didn’t even care to answer.

My mother in law bought me “The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook” for my birthday last month. This amazing book has a recipe for EVERY food reference (yes, reference) in the entire 7 book Harry Potter series. Not only that, some food items have different versions of themselves, and pumpkin juice is one of those things.

I looked over the first pumpkin juice recipe, but it had a lot of steps to make it.   But, right next to that is a “Pumpkin Juice Fruit Punch” option. Color me intrigued!

And, it turned out to be delicious, fruity, and delightfully autumnal. So, if you are looking for a festive, yet light, non-alcoholic drink for your Thanksgiving feast or Holiday soiree, look no further.

Harry Potter Inspired Pumpkin Juice Fruit Punch

Fruity version of the beverage Pumpkin Juice, mentioned often in the Harry Potter books and movies.

Ingredients

• 2 Cups Apple Juice
• 1 Cup White Grape Juice
• 1 Cup Pinapple Juice
• 1 15 oz Can Pumpkin Puree

Course Beverage Servings cups Ingredients 2 Cups Apple Juice 1 Cup White Grape Juice 1 Cup Pinapple Juice 1 15 oz Can Pumpkin Puree

Instructions

1. Easy as this: Mix together all your ingredients. Let sit a couple hours if you can. Pour through a strainer to remove the thickness (optional). Pour over ice and enjoy!
